March was a month of mixed shopping feelings. I did well for most of it but screwed up a little at the end. Let’s dive right in and have a look at the purchases made and the numbers I am left with.
Influenced!
As I said, I started out strong and didn’t purchase anything in the beginning of march. But in the last week, I got influenced. It’s funny how I am so aware of ads and influencing on social media, yet it still gets me. I know how it works, I know that it is stupid, but I still fell for it. I ended up buying a pair of Gymshark workout shorts because I saw a YouTube wearing them. Sighhhh. They didn’t fit. Since I bought them thrifted, I couldn’t return them so I resold them right away and made a profit of 1$ to make the shipping process at least not 0 profit. As annoyed as I was, it was also a good reminder of how bad it feels to spend my hard earned money on items I don’t need. It’s a yucky feeling that I haven’t felt in a while so experiencing it again is certainly a reminder to keep my head on straight and not lose track of my goals. I guess the 9 $ was worth the reminder.
Workout Gear
Since it is getting warmer, I also purchased a pair of inline skates which cost me 17,76 $, no regrets there so far (they haven’t arrived yet). My partner and I also split on some badminton equipment, my part being 8,16$. Even tho these little purchases annoy me, it’s totally worth it. Sports equipment makes us spend more time outside and have fun so I don’t think it makes sense to scrimp on it.
Numbers
So, after all the little details about my purchases, let’s have a look at the numbers!
The end of February left me with 480.77$ in my personal spending fund for the year.
My purchases of march:
Workout Shorts 9$
Inline skates 17,76$
Badminton equipment 8,16$
Total: 34,92$
480.77-34.92 = 445.85$ left.
So far so good, let’s see how the rest of the year pans out!
