To say it’s been a while is clearly an understatement. Not documenting the numbers from my Low Buy Year on here for four months doesn’t mean that I gave up on the mission though – I surely stuck to the Low Buy Budget. Without further ado, let’s look at what I bought, how my numbers look and how Im feeling about the last two months of 2024!
July
In July I spent
17, 85 $ on clothes (thrifted), and
7,95 $ on pens (I’m a sucker for nice stationary).
This leaves me with a total of 25,81 $ for the month on personal spending.
August
In August I didnt buy anything apart from the essentials.
September
In September I spent 22,03 $ on clothes (thrifted) and a new fitted sheet since my old one ripped. I didn’t know if I should account the amount for the fitted sheet under personal spending or housing(?), but put it in here since it’s not really a bill…
October
In October I spent
5, 49 $ on shipping shoes back that I wanted to purchase but ended up returning, and
11, 65 $ on clothing (thrifted).
This totals 17,14 $.
The Numbers
So overall in these last four months I spent 64,98 $. In June, I had 232,15$ left of the original 500 $ in my Low Buy Year budget. 232,15 – 64,98 = 167,17 $
So for November and December, I have 167,17 $ left to spend on any personal items that’d I’d like to purchase. Im not sure if I want to take this as an allowance toward fun or if I should just put it into savings. Well see. Anyhow, I hope your financial year is going well and you’re on track to reach your goals!
